“Winning a lot of games is doable.  Teaching the kids there’s more to life, that’s hard.”

— Bob Ladouceur, Former De La Salle Head Football Coach

Our Mission

We aim to develop the world’s next leaders. Our mission is to impact the world, one player at a time, through the game of football. We use the development and accomplishments of our student athletes to capture the attention of the world. Our mission is to change the world.

Core Values

Commitment - The foundation of our program. It takes discipline, being uncomfortable, and sacrifice to achieve greatness. One must be 100% bought-in, 100% of the time.

Excellence - We strive to be the best in all aspects of life. We strive to do things the right way all the time. We strive for perfection.

Competition - Instilling the mindset of always competing in every aspect of life. It’s not enough to work hard, one must be willing to go further than others.

Family - We’re one family. We hold each other responsible. What happens stays.  We care for each other. We are responsible for each other.

Education - Never stop learning. From the players to the parents to the coaches, the need to know more never ends. Growth and development is not only encouraged, it's demanded. Lack of knowledge is harmful. Learning never stops.

Accountability - Everyone is responsible for their lives. They are responsible for themselves, their choices, and their future. We must all learn self-reliance.

Vision

Every student-athlete should be able to attend their dream college, discover their life’s purpose, actualize their aspirations, and reach their ultimate potential, regardless of any circumstance.

Founders Words

As a young man trying to find my way I had many experiences that could have pulled me in the wrong direction. I came from a tough city with a lot of extremely talented people that got sucked into the traps of that city. With all the places for young people to go wrong the Omega Boy’s & Girl’s club was really the only place for kids to find safety and security. We went there to vent, bond, play sports and do other activities that really helped to keep us off the streets.

The Omega Boy’s & Girl’s club was very instrumental in helping me stay out of trouble and giving me a shot at getting out. I went on to play football at De la Salle High, and earned a scholarship to St. Mary’s college, finished at University of Nevada Las Vegas where I became team captain and ultimately the first person in my family to earn a college degree.

If it wasn’t for the Boys & Girls Club I wouldn't be here. None of this would have even been thought of.

Theres not only a since of gratitude but also a sense of pride when I look at the fellow alumni that the Boys & Girls Club was instrumental in helping nurture:

Denzel Washington, Shaq, Lebron James, Magic Johnson, Mark Wahlberg.

I wanted that for the next generation.

I’m constantly thinking about the boys I grew up with who never made it. The ones who should have been somebody. Played in college or even professionally or been the next leader of their industry, but didn’t because they lacked the resources, support, community, and a place to dream & develop like I had.

I made it out, they didn’t.

I had the Omega Boys & Girls Club, they didn’t.

That’s why The KTPrep Academy exists today.

To be a center for learning that activates dreams, teaches discipline and responsibility, and births leaders.

“I want to be a person that advocates for young men who have the same dream that I did, and give them the same opportunities. So the real mission here at KTPrep is to develop the whole person. We want to teach our players to communicate like leaders and we want to provide the resources and support so they’re equipped to make the most of every opportunity.”
